Martin Allen

Allen kick started his career playing for QPR, in the year 1983. He soon became a star in the Queens Park Rangers team, and in 1989 he felt it was the right time for a move, moving to West ham United for a well worth £670,000. He made an instant impact in the West ham squad, helping them to promotion in the top flight in the 1990-91 and 1992-93 seasons. In 1995, Allen moved to Portsmouth, spending three years at the club before spending his final playing days with Southend.

 

Julian Dicks

Dicks commenced his career with Birmingham City in 1985 at the young age of 17 years. His impressive displays for the Midlands club earned him a lucrative £300,000 move to West Ham in 1988. He became an instant success at the Hammers, known by many as a rock in the heart of the West ham defence. His outstanding defensive displays earned him the West ham captaincy role in 1990. After five seasons at the Hammers, Liverpool soon took interest in the talent and bought him in 1993. However after only one year at Anfield, Dicks moved back to West Ham in 1994 and went on to spend another 8 seasons at Upton Park before retiring from playing professional football in 2002. During his career he spent a staggering 13 years at West Ham.

Ludek Miklosko

Miklosko commenced his career at Czech Republic club, Banik Ostrava. He was soon noticed in England and caught the eye of West ham manager, Billy Bonds. Miklosko moved to West Ham in February 1990 and made an immediate impact at the club. He was voted West Ham player of the season in his first full season, 1990-91, helping them gain promotion back into the top flight with his incredible saves. In total he spent nine seasons at Upton Park, making a total of 374 appearances for the club. He finished his playing career with QPR before moving into coaching, with his favourite club, West Ham United.
