Billy Bonds
(1980-1985)
Billy Bonds is without doubt one of the greatest players ever to have played for West ham. His loyalty to the club was second to none. Bonds joined West ham in 1967, moving to the club from Charlton Athletic. Bonds went on to play for the Hammers for another 22 years before managing the club for five seasons. During his unbelievable spell at the club, he won the FA Cup twice with the Hammers, on both occasions he was captain. He finally retired from playing football in 1990; however he stayed at west ham as he was appointed as their managers. He was seen as a good manager for west ham as he helped the Hammers to emphatic promotion during the 1990-91 season.

Alvin Martin
(1980-1985)
One of the true legends of West ham, Alvin Martin played a staggering a staggering 568 matches for the Hammers during his incredible 19 year playing for the club. Martin was in phenomenal form during the 1979-80 season which saw the Hammers promoted to the top flight and them winning the FA Cup the same respective season. Martin is also a full England cap who starred for his nation in the 1986 world cup finals.
