Alan Taylor

Taylor moved to West ham in the summer of 1974 for £40,000 and did not disappoint during his spell at the club. Taylor was outstanding for the Hammers during the FA Cup of 1975, he almost singly handily helping the Hammers win the FA Cup. He scored two great goals against Arsenal at Highbury in the quarter finals. He repeated his magic in the semi finals as he struck another double against Ipswich to secure the Hammers with a final tie against Fulham. Once again Alan Taylor stepped in and scored two more goals, which in turn won West Ham the FA Cup final. He helped the Hammers reach the final of the European Cup winner’s cup the following season, only being beaten against Anderlecht.

Bobby Moore

During the late 1960’s, Bobby Moore provided everything for his club West Ham United and England. He was Captain of his nation, a world cup champion and also acknowledged as the greatest player around the globe. He also won the FA Cup with West ham United. His first major honor came in 1964, winning the FA Cup with West ham. Bobby Moore was voted ‘Player of Players’ by the world’s press after the world cup. After his brilliant performances during the 1966 world cup, England were eliminated out of the world cup in the last eight in 1970, however Moore again had a fantastic tournament. The last of his 108 caps representing his nation was in November 1973 in an encounter against Italy.

Martin Peters

Martin Peters is believed by many as one of the most gifted midfielders of his era. Peters scored the second goal in England’s triumph over West Germany in the 1966 world cup final.
Peters starred for England during the 1970 world cup finals, and was a key member of their team in qualifying for the 1974 world cup finals; however failure to defeat Poland prevented them from participating in the 1974 world cup.
