Geoff Hurst

Hurst played for West Ham United during his highly successful career in football.
During July 1966, Geoff Hurst achieved what many footballers could only dream of, a hat trick in the world cup final. During the 1966 finals, he failed to make the first side in the opening group matches; however injury to Jimmy Greaves awarded Hurst his opportunity against Argentina, in which he netted the only goal of that game. After his 3 goals in the final, Hurst became a world wide celebrity. He was in the first team for the 1970 world cup finals which England was defeated in the last eight to West Germany. His last appearance for England came in April 1972.
